Statement
Painting is a way of communicating ideas and feelings that cannot be expressed in any other way. Cultures all over the world and throughout history can be studied and better understood via the art and artifacts that they leave. The power that images contain can educate in a much more profound way than words alone. Visual communication is a way for a society or a group of people to leave their mark on the world stage. My concern in creating art is to help to develop images that will inform the world about people of color.
